Blame Me with Ghost Lake - An Interview


Uma ótima surpresa diretamente do submundo dos bons sons são os estadunidenses do Ghost Lake.

Um Ep sedutoramente brutal, atendendo pelo nome de Tender é o cartão de visitas para algo como um shoegazer beirando o slowcore, em determinados momentos alto e possuído, já em outros sutil e hipnótico, uma química que o Ghost Lake soube utilizar com extrema elegância.

E que venha o debute I Feel Everything, pois se seguir os passos do single Blame Me, será um daqueles álbuns pra ser chamado de predileto da casa.

Q. When did Ghost Lake start? Tell us about the history...
In 2012/2013 a few of us started a terrible band and played a couple shows but then we got our act together and started writing what would become our first ep, Tender. After the ep was released, our vocalist and bass player left and were replaced with our current lineup.

Q: Who are your influences?
FKA twigs, Grimes, Johnny Marr, cloakroom, Kanye west, polyenso, Manchester orchestra, Neil Halstead

Vancouver by La Dispute,
define the great line by underoath,
mean everything to nothing by Manchester orchestra,
empty days and sleepless nights by defeater,
plowing into the field of love by ice age

Q. How do you feel playing live?

Q. How do you describe Ghost Lake sounds?
Like a pink tsunami is smashing into a skyscraper

Q: Tell us about the process of recording the songs ?
We recorded with Ryan Richie for 5 days in Burleson Texas. It went really smoothly! Also notable - World records largest bong rip, pizza salad, mangoritas.

Keep shredding
Release this full length record, get some tapes going, and hopefully convince someone to press it on vinyl

Don't come a knocking when the riffs are a rockin
